Serious crime in Shkodër: Man kills his wife, names of the perpetrator and victim revealed (NAMES)

This Thursday, July 9, 2026, at around 1:30 p.m., a family crime took place in Shkodër. According to preliminary information, citizen Shtjefën Ziçi, 62, is suspected of shooting his wife, Bardhe Ziçi, 55, with a hunting rifle (double-barreled shotgun), and she died as a result of her injuries.

After the incident, Police services intervened immediately and arrested the suspected perpetrator.

The investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the crime.

At around 1:30 p.m., in the “Mark Lula” neighborhood, it is suspected that for weak motives, citizen Sh. Z., 62, killed his wife, citizen B. Z., around 55 years old, with a firearm.

Police services immediately went to the scene and apprehended the suspected perpetrator, citizen Sh. Z., who was escorted to the Police Station for the completion of procedural actions.

Police services also seized the firearm that is suspected to have been used to commit the crime.

The investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecution, is continuing actions to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the incident.
