Shqipe Selimi, a member of the Assembly of Kosovo, attended the opening of the “A Wall Separates Us” exhibition, where the love letters exchanged by Fehmi and Xhevë Krasniqi Lladrovci were displayed for the first time.
In a post, Selimi highlighted the letters the two exchanged during the 1980s, when Fehmi Krasniqi Lladrovci was a political prisoner serving his sentence.

Selimi noted that in 1987, Fehmi sent letters to Xhevë from Stara Gradiška prison in the former Yugoslavia. According to her, neither the distance nor the prison walls could extinguish the love between them.
She said their powerful bond was crowned by their dedication to the homeland and the ideal of a free Kosovo.
“Fehmi and Xheva remain a symbol of a love that lives forever in our national history and memory,” Selimi wrote.
