Sela after the conviction of former KLA leaders: They defended life and gave it the highest meaning, freedom

The chairman of the Albanian League, Ziadin Sela, reacted after the decision of the Special Court sentencing former KLA leaders to prison.

Through a Facebook post, Sela stated that the former KLA leaders defended life and raised it to the most sublime value, that of freedom.

According to him, they contributed to building the state that would guarantee freedom and the right to live. Sela emphasized that their sacrifice is linked to life, freedom and Kosovo as a free state. He added that, at a moment when justice has failed, just as in many cases of the bitter past of the Albanian people, righteous anger should be turned into judgment, despite the powerlessness of a small people in numbers and its extraordinary courage, dignity, humanity and resilience.

Sela also emphasized that their sacrifice represented life, freedom and Kosovo as a sovereign and independent state. He called for this sacrifice to be respected with calmness and patience, because, as he wrote, the last word has not yet been said.
