SDSM: No government representative held accountable for poisoning of citizens in Gostivar

The SDSM, reacting to the water contamination in Gostivar, states that the entire city was poisoned by contaminated water and that over 4,700 citizens were hospitalized, while no one from the Government was held accountable.

“Mickoski personally assured citizens that the water was ‘technically correct’ and could be used, while now Klekovski admits that it contained ‘many different bacteria and viruses.’ If the water contained many different bacteria and viruses, on the basis of which analysis did Mickoski declare it technically correct? Who allowed citizens to use it? Who signed off that the water was safe? Where is the official report?” ask from SDSM.

“It cannot happen that 4,700 people end up in hospital, an entire city is put at risk and institutions fail, while no one is held accountable. This is a health catastrophe and a complete institutional collapse. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has been silent long enough. Instead of going on an excursion, Saveski should immediately initiate proceedings and determine who from the Government must answer.
