School basket prepared to ease families’ expenses

A proposal to create a school basket has been drawn up by the Ministry of Economy and Labour and is expected to be considered at the next government session.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said the aim of the measure is to ease the financial burden on families ahead of the start of the school year, particularly those with more children.

“At Tuesday’s next government session, we will decide on the establishment of the school basket. And I think that, within the available possibilities, all of this will be attractive to parents and students,” said Hristijan Mickoscki, Prime Minister.

As last year, the list will include the basic school supplies purchased most often before the start of classes. It is expected to include schoolbags, notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, glue, pads, as well as materials for arts and technical education.
