Rron Gjinovci: Today, you are branded a traitor simply for stating these facts

Analyst Rron Gjinovci has reacted on social media by recalling the killings of Albanian civilians by other Albanians during and after the war in Kosovo.

In his post, he also mentions the executions of LDK activists, the labeling of Ibrahim Rugova as a “traitor” in KLA communiqués, and NATO’s contribution to the liberation of Kosovo.

Gjinovci writes that many of these facts are known to the public, but people either do not dare to voice them or avoid confronting them because of the climate that, according to him, has developed over the years in Kosovo.

He says the accounts of the aforementioned killings were told to him by Biu, Lati, and Uncle Milua, identified as Vehbiu, Berati, and Milaimi.

According to him, Rugova was declared a traitor by those who drafted the KLA communiqués, while the LDK has spoken about the killings of its activists in nearly every election held since the war. He adds that even today, there are MPs in the Assembly who are the sons or cousins of the victims.

The analyst emphasizes that NATO liberated Kosovo “inch by inch,” while most people, although they know these facts, do not support those who create this atmosphere.

His concluding “observation” is that nowadays, stating these facts gets you branded a traitor, which, according to him, proves that 27 years ago such a label could have cost you your life.
