Rrezarta Krasniqi Calls on LDK for Internal Electoral Process

Former MP of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Rrezarta Krasniqi, has called for the organization of elections within the party, emphasizing that the extraordinary Assembly should mark the start of a new phase of democratization.

According to her, after the recent electoral performance, the party needs a transformation in its governance and decision-making, through open, honest, and inclusive elections, where the decisive voice belongs to the membership base.

In a detailed post, Krasniqi pointed out that the LDK is not the property of particular individuals, but a collective political legacy, built with contributions and sacrifices across generations. She added that the party’s future must be determined by those who support it every day with their work, trust, and vote.

Krasniqi argued that in politics, evaluation must be based on citizen support and not on proximity to leadership or certain groups. According to her, parties do not rest on narrow social circles, but on people who have stood by them in every circumstance, on dedicated activists and on the loyal electorate.

She emphasized that this stance is not motivated by personal interests nor against anyone, but is an appeal for a more united, more democratic, and stronger LDK, where progress is made possible on the basis of work, merit, and the trust enjoyed from the membership.

Concluding her call, she stated: “When democracy wins within the LDK, the LDK wins, and when the LDK wins, Kosovo wins.”
