Rashiq: The new government is not expected to be put to a vote tomorrow

Nenad Rashiq, chairman of the Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival, does not believe that the constitutive session of 06.08.2026 will be followed by a vote on the new government.

The acting minister for Communities and Return said that discussions on forming the next government can begin only after the constitutive process has been concluded. In this context, he did not rule out a meeting with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

“So far, we have not met, but I believe we will meet in the coming days. As you know, tomorrow we will deal only with the constitution of the Assembly and will not enter into negotiations or other agreements. I expect us to meet after tomorrow and discuss the possibility of joining the new government, whenever this becomes possible,” Rashiq said.

He emphasized that, based on his information and assessment, the composition of the government is not expected to be put to a vote tomorrow.

“As far as I know, no session for the formation of the new government has been scheduled for tomorrow. My assessment is that the government will not be voted on tomorrow. This is my personal opinion,” Rashiq declared.
