Ramadani: VV is holding up the constitution of the Assembly to calculate the elections

AAK MP Burim R. Ramadani has reacted to the Vetëvendosje Movement’s new position, accusing the party of blocking the functioning of the state for political interests and to prepare for new elections.

In a Facebook post, Ramadani said that acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and VV aim to prevent the Assembly from being constituted until September 13. According to him, the deadline for electing the president would begin to be calculated from that date, which is tomorrow.

“This is all VV’s game with the state!” Ramadani wrote.

He explained that the 60-day period for electing the president begins on September 13 and ends on November 13.

Ramadani said that new elections could be called after this deadline expires, while the deadline for that process would run until December 27.

VV held an extraordinary meeting and decided to vote for Çitaku and Shala for the posts of deputy speakers of the Assembly.

“Kurti and Vetëvendosje need the Assembly not to be constituted at least until September 13, because that is the deadline. From September 13, two months, or 60 days, are needed for the president, which brings us to November 13. Elections can be called from November 13, and the deadline falls on December 27,” he said.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP said he had warned about such a scenario some time ago.

“This is what we have been telling you for quite some time. We read the scenario in your pocket,” Ramadani wrote.

At the end of his reaction, he warned that VV would be disappointed in the elections it was, according to him, trying to calculate.

“But DO NOT FORGET: VV will be badly disappointed by the elections they calculated themselves!” Ramadani concluded.
