“Rama resigns!” / 50 days of revolt! Well-known figures who joined citizens’ protests (PHOTOS)

The citizens’ protest against the government continues this Sunday, marking the 50th consecutive day of mobilization on the streets of Tirana.

Citizens initially gather at “Skënderbej” Square, then march towards the Prime Minister’s Office building, where speeches are held and calls for political change and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama are repeated.

In recent weeks, a number of public figures from the fields of art, media, and television have also joined the protest, choosing to be part of the citizens’ gatherings.

Among the participants, comedy actors Albano Bogdo and Irgen Çela have been seen, who have set aside their artistic commitments to join the march together with citizens.

Singer Klajdi Musabelliu has also been seen at the protest, having earlier publicly expressed his critical stance on the social situation and institutions. He has taken part in the march alongside protesters along the capital’s streets.

Singer Eranda Libohova was also present, appearing among protesters with a placard bearing a satirical message, drawing the attention of participants.

Also, analyst Balina Bodinaku has been seen among the ranks of protesters, while Nikol, known from a reality show, has also been part of the gathering, joining the young people who took part in the protest.

Among the names that have become active participants in the protest in recent weeks are blogger Dea Mishel, journalist Sonila Meço, presenter Fjoralba Ponari, civil society activist Dorina Mema, as well as presenter Dojna Mema together with her husband, Vlashentin.

Dea Mishel has become one of the most talked-about figures of the protest, being continuously present and publicly expressing her support for the citizens’ cause.

Sonila Meço has also been among the public voices reacting to political and social developments, and she has often been seen in the square among protesters.

Fjoralba Ponari, who became part of the public debate after Prime Minister Rama’s statements and ironies directed at some public figures, has continued her participation in the protest.
