Citizens have begun marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office as part of the 78th protest held in Tirana. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government, while continuing their opposition to the political class.

The Diaspora has also joined today’s rally, as it did a day earlier. On Saturday, Albanians who had come from various countries around the world joined the protest and filled Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.
Protesters say that demands for the government’s removal and opposition to the political class have continued for weeks, despite the high temperatures and the summer season.
The march is proceeding toward the Prime Minister’s Office, where the next protest is expected to be held.
