Rama comments on the drop in reviews: “An Albanian-style shame” struck Google’s pyramid, businesses are emerging from the digital soot

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted this Friday to what he said was an organized attack on the Google pages of Albanian businesses, saying that Albanian institutions had asked the company for help in restoring the ratings of the affected enterprises.

In a social media post, Rama described the incident as an “Albanian-style shame” and accused the organizers of the flamingo protest of staging an “unheard-of criminal attack” through thousands of accounts opened specifically for that purpose, with the aim of lowering the ratings of hotels, guesthouses and restaurants.

According to the prime minister, the State Police are continuing their investigation into what he calls a criminal scheme, while thanks to cooperation with Google, businesses are having their lost ratings restored.

“The echo of an ALBANIAN-STYLE SHAME reached the top of Google’s pyramid, where our authorities asked for help to pull a number of enterprises out of THE SOOT OF DIGITAL TERROR exercised by the hostage-takers of the flamingo protest, who through 10 thousand accounts opened specifically for the purpose organized and orchestrated an UNHEARD-OF CRIMINAL ATTACK on hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, violently stripping them of the stars earned from customers’ positive impressions.

So, the logic of clubs and beatings that has given the protest the color of crows and the voice of ravens: We do not want foreign investors, we do not want local businesses, we want rope, prison, fire — Nazi-like types in qeleshes and communists with flags around their necks, louts and fools applauded passionately by bitter failures who have fallen on hard times, full of hatred, malice and inconsolable mediocrity.

The Police are continuing to investigate the criminal scheme, while with Google’s help the enterprise pages are having their stars, deserved through hard work and great effort, restored to them.”
