“The coasts are being depopulated as criminals take their land,” Berisha: The book ‘Albanian Files’ is the harshest indictment against Rama

In a statement to the media from the Democratic Party headquarters, party leader Sali Berisha leveled serious accusations over the projects expected to be built in our country, once again referring to the book “Albanian Files.”

He said Prime Minister Rama uses Albania as his personal fiefdom, handing land over to traffickers.

Berisha also said in his remarks that land in the south is being bought with money originating from drug trafficking.

“The red book ‘Albanian Files,’ with a foreword by Edi Rama, is the book with which Edi Rama proves to Albanians and to the world that he considers Albania his own fiefdom, first of all. Secondly, that he has handed this fiefdom over for development to drug cartels, drug barons, Albanian and international criminal organizations. The red book ‘The Albanian File’ is the harshest indictment against a prime minister or president of the republic, against a dictator of any kind of dictatorship, proving that this man recognizes neither the Constitution, nor national laws, nor international laws. For this man, just like the sultans of centuries past, whose empire’s fundamental law was that the land, air and water were the property of the emperor, they are leased to citizens for their welfare.

For Edi Rama as well, the most scenic areas along Albania’s sea and lake shores, its hills and mountains, are his property, to be handed over for development to hateful criminal traffickers. The evidence is blatant. You have seen how in the south, residents along the country’s coasts are being displaced almost manu militari, emigrating and leaving because of savage criminal traffickers who come to them with sacks, with bags of money, buy their land and drive them from their homes. No occupier in history has ever held such a stance toward Albanians. The tentacles of the dangerous mafia that is flattening hills and wiping out everything in the south are, de facto, depopulating Albania’s coasts by the force of narco-euros,” Berisha said.
