Qamili accuses Buzhala and Latifi of insulting the Albanians of Tetovo because they did not obey Ali Ahmeti

Albi Qamili, deputy mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo, has reacted in strong terms to statements by journalist Berat Buzhala from Kosovo, saying that he and several other public figures from Kosovo are attacking the Albanians of North Macedonia, with particular emphasis on Tetovo, Zyrtare.net reports.

In his public reaction, Qamili says that the same structure which, according to him, has for years targeted Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has now been mobilized against Albanians in North Macedonia.

He mentions by name journalist Berat Buzhala, analyst Blerim Latifi, and other individuals whom he claims remained silent in the face of major issues affecting Albanians in the country, including the cases “Monstra,” “Almiri,” “Alfa,” “Sopoti,” the Macedonian Encyclopedia, and the erection of the Tsar Dushan monument in Skopje.

Qamili also addresses the “Open Balkan” initiative, for which he says there was no reaction from them even at a time when, according to him, the project was being presented as a value and when Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was being welcomed by Albanian politicians.

“But they find time to insult the Albanians of Tetovo, simply because they did not submit to Ali Ahmeti,” Qamili writes in his reaction.

In conclusion, Tetovo’s deputy mayor stresses that “Tetovo of the two universities and of national resistance is a political school for Buzhala and the like,” while adding that the city has demonstrated its political will in the last five electoral cycles and will show it again whenever necessary.
