Qamili: Water in Tetovo’s four villages will be administered by the local communities

Deputy Mayor of Tetovo Municipality Albi Qamili assured residents of Poroj, Xhepçisht, Reçica e Madhe and Reçica e Vogël that water management would remain the responsibility of the local communities.

He said the maintenance and administration of this service would not be transferred to Tetovo Municipality, but would continue to be carried out by the communities of these villages.

According to Qamili, claims that the water would be managed by Tetovo Municipality are intended to create fear and insecurity among citizens. He described these statements as propaganda.

“As the Municipality of Tetovo, we are working to make the local communities operational and formalize them, and we also have a working group for this purpose. I publicly guarantee that the water in these villages will be managed by the local communities of these villages,” Qamili said.

The deputy mayor urged residents not to be influenced by false information and disinformation.

“Any other interpretation is propaganda and a lie. The residents of Poroj, Xhepçisht, Reçica e Madhe and Reçica e Vogël must know the truth and not be deceived by false information. The municipality is working on a clear and functional solution, under which responsibility for the water will lie with the local communities of these villages,” Qamili said, among other things.
