PTHP opens proceedings against three individuals for assaulting a peer in Kumanovo, two of them minors

The Basic Public Prosecution in Kumanovo has initiated proceedings against an 18-year-old, while a request for the opening of preparatory proceedings against two minors, aged 15 and 14 respectively, has been submitted to the juvenile judge at the Basic Court of Kumanovo. All three are suspected of participating together in the criminal offense of “Violence.”

According to the PTHP announcement, on March 13 of this year, the suspects invited a girl, who was then 13 years old, to leave her house. Then, they persuaded her to enter an abandoned room near the “Sokolana” sports center.

In that space, the girl was insulted and physically assaulted. She was hit in the face and body, and also pulled by the hair.

The violence was filmed with a phone, and the victim was threatened with death if she told anyone about the incident.

After the video was posted on social media, the Public Prosecution immediately took measures to secure evidence. For the adult suspect, the prosecution has proposed to the competent court to impose precautionary measures, including mandatory appearance in court, temporary seizure of the travel document, and a ban on approaching and contacting the victim, the PTHP announcement states.
