Protester after clash in front of Parliament: We have been protesting peacefully for a month, today they threw gas at us without restraint

After tear gas was used to disperse the crowd, police also escorted away several other protesters. Strong tensions were recorded in front of Parliament.

Amid the situation that unfolded, one citizen appealed to Albanians to unite. He stated that for nearly a month the protests have been held peacefully, but according to him, today the officers threw gas without mercy.

“They threw gas without mercy. Today they acted against the people. From today, they will have the people against them. For a month we have been here with water and flowers. I call on all Albanians to be united,” he said.

Another protester also called for citizens to unite to bring down the regime.
