Prime Minister Rama: We will create a National Council for children with disabilities

During the fourth episode of the “Flasim” podcast, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the government is working to establish a National Council for children with disabilities.

He said that work to establish the Council has begun, while the idea was proposed during a meeting with a group of parents.

In his remarks, the prime minister said that he and the government were working to usher in a new phase in relations between institutions and children with disabilities and their families.

He stressed that the National Council would include representatives of institutions, parents and teachers.

“The government and I personally are working to usher in a new phase in relations between institutions and children with disabilities and their families, by involving precisely the parents who are at the forefront of this effort. First and foremost, we want to do our best by creating a National Council for children with disabilities, and then by continuing further through the leadership, guidance and suggestions of this Council, which will include representatives of institutions, parents and teachers,” Prime Minister Rama said.
