President Shiroka Pula welcomes Austria’s support for Kosovo through a letter from Van der Bellen

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Justina Shiroka Pula, has received a congratulatory letter from the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, following her assumption of office.

As announced by the Office of the President of Kosovo, in his message, Van der Bellen highlighted the consolidated relations between Kosovo and Austria in the political, economic, and cultural spheres, as well as the strong ties between the citizens of both countries.

The Austrian President particularly valued the contribution of the Kosovar diaspora in Austria and expressed readiness to work with President Shiroka Pula on further deepening bilateral cooperation, on the path toward a shared European future.

Van der Bellen also reiterated Austria’s commitment to the European Union integration of the six Western Balkan countries. He stated that Austria will continue to support Kosovo in implementing reforms and in its advancement toward European integration.

In closing the letter, President Alexander Van der Bellen wished President Shiroka Pula success during the exercise of her mandate, the Presidency announced.
