Political figures join march in Pristina in support of former KLA leaders

PDK Chairman Bedri Hamza, Alliance deputy Ramush Haradinaj and Ali Ahmeti, leader of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), took part in the “March for Freedom,” which is being held today in Pristina.

The protest was organized in support of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who are facing trial in The Hague.

Haradinaj and Ahmeti were also seen among the citizens gathered from Kosovo and Albanian-populated areas. Members of the Vetëvendosje Movement are also taking part in the event, along with citizens and other political representatives.

Vetëvendosje deputies Shqipe Selimi, Adnan Rrustemi, Driton Hyseni and Sali Zyba are among those participating in the march.

The “March for Freedom” is being held ahead of the decision in the case against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

The organizers have called for broad participation, while citizens have gathered in central Pristina with banners and flags in support of the former KLA leaders.

The event is continuing in the center of the capital, where statements from political representatives and organizers are also expected.
