Police solve doctor’s murder in Autokomandë, arrest couple from Skopje

Officers of the Skopje Police Department have arrested a 65-year-old man with the initials M.V. and his 59-year-old wife S.V., residents of Skopje, as the main suspects in the murder of doctor A.T. According to authorities, the tragic event occurred on March 21, 2024, in a parking area in the Autokomandë neighborhood, where M.V. is suspected of committing the crime while S.V. played a role in hiding evidence.

After an extensive investigation and verification of numerous warrants issued by the public prosecutor, sufficient evidence has been gathered to file formal charges. M.V. faces a charge of “murder” under Article 123, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, while his wife is accused of aiding and abetting the commission of the crime.

The police reconstruction of the scene shows that S.V. initially agreed with the victim to meet in the parking lot. After A.T. entered her vehicle, a few minutes later M.V. appeared, forcefully pulled him out of the car, and attacked him viciously with a knife. The doctor was dealt nine fatal stab wounds, which killed him instantly.

Immediately after the act, the couple coordinated to move the lifeless body. Together they placed the victim in the car and M.V. drove the vehicle to the parking lot of the Zhelezara Polyclinic. There, he moved the body to the driver’s seat and carefully cleaned all traces from the car using an unknown substance. Then, both left the scene, according to sources from the Ministry of Interior.
