Police operations in Kosovo lead to seizure of 12 firearms, including three Kalashnikovs

Law enforcement forces in Kosovo confiscated a total of 12 firearms on Tuesday in various parts of the country, including three automatic rifles of the Kalashnikov type.

During these interventions and raids, the authorities also seized quantities of ammunition and other weapon components, KosovaPress reports.

In a separate case in the municipality of Podujevë, after searching the home of a suspicious person, a firearm was discovered and seized, and the case has been forwarded to standard procedure.

In the same municipality, as part of an ongoing investigation into an earlier attempted murder, police raided the homes of two wanted persons. During this operation, six firearms – three pistols and three long guns – were confiscated, along with 67 cartridges and various weapon components.

Meanwhile, in the village of Gjonaj in the Prizren region, following reports of gunfire at a family celebration, police officers seized a gas pistol, an AK-47 automatic rifle, 20 cartridges and several shell casings. According to information, two people were arrested and placed in custody.

In Deçan, while handling a case of domestic violence, the blue uniforms took from a suspect an AK-47 automatic rifle along with a magazine.

Also, in the village of Temeqin in Malishevë, searches conducted in two homes resulted in the discovery and confiscation of an AK-47 automatic rifle, a TT pistol, a magazine, 10 cartridges, and a part of a long automatic weapon.
