Petrushevski accuses SDSM, DUI and Taravari of double standards in the Gostivar case

VMRO-DPMNE deputy Brane Petrushevski stated today at a press conference that the call by SDSM leader Venko Filipče to support Valbon Limani in the local elections in Gostivar exposes once again the hypocrisy of this party and its allies. Filipče had called on members to mobilize to the maximum, stressing that the party has a real chance to win a seat in local government to help all residents of Gostivar.

According to Petrushevski, citizens have not forgotten that it is SDSM that co-governs in this municipality together with Ali Ahmeti and Arben Taravari. He stressed that these political forces are applying a double standard, constantly demanding resignations and accountability from the opposition, while turning a blind eye to the responsibilities of their candidate, Valbon Limani.

The opposition deputy also accused the local administration led by this coalition of having failed in dealing with the contaminated water crisis. He pointed out that the central government was forced to intervene and manage the situation quickly. “Citizens were provided with bottled water and supply is being restored for technical use, while in the coming days it will also be suitable for drinking,” Petrushevski added.
