Përparim Rama: The decision is unjust, the pursuit of justice continues

The mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has reacted to the judgment issued by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague concerning former KLA leaders.

In a Facebook post, he described the verdict as “unjust and harsh,” while stating that the pursuit of justice and what he considers to be the truth does not end with this decision.

According to Rama, such a verdict may constitute a difficult moment, but it does not bring an end to the battle for justice, which, as he emphasized, will continue through institutional and legal channels, and with dignity.

Rama called on citizens, particularly at this moment, to preserve unity and dignity. He said that such trials put society to the test, but it is precisely then that what stands above each individual must prevail: respect for the sacrifice, history and truth.

Repeating that the decision may mark a difficult period, but not the end of the commitment to justice, the mayor of Pristina stressed that this battle continues institutionally, legally and with dignity. He concluded his statement with the message that today people must stand together, with unity, determination and dignity.
