Përparim Rama: The Capital Guarantees Full Cooperation with Justice Institutions

Përparim Rama, mayor of Pristina, has spoken out after the Vetëvendosje Movement filed a criminal complaint with the Special Prosecutor’s Office over allegations that the Municipality of Pristina was involved in the unlawful legalization of buildings.

In a statement published on Facebook, Rama stressed that the Capital’s institutions have been and continue to be accessible to the justice institutions. He guaranteed that every request from the Prosecutor’s Office would be handled with full cooperation, transparency and institutional propriety, as has always been the case.

The mayor of Pristina also said that he welcomed the fact that the Vetëvendosje Movement had finally turned to the Prosecutor’s Office. At the same time, he suggested that the movement also urge acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to respond to the Prosecutor’s Office, claiming that Kurti has failed to respond to an invitation for an interview for more than two years.
