His response came a day after members of the Vetëvendosje Movement in the Pristina Municipal Assembly submitted several materials to investigators, which they said had been forwarded to them by an anonymous whistleblower.
The documents claim that a substantial sum of money was transferred from an account in Kosovo to a bank account in the United Kingdom.
Vetëvendosje assembly members in the capital have stated that investigations into the case have been launched by Kosovo and British authorities.
Responding to the issue, Rama said that he has bank accounts in both countries and that the money was transferred from an account he owns to another account belonging to him.
Rama said the transfers were made from his account to his account.
“I have banks both here and there, meaning that the bank transfers are completely legitimate and there is no problem whatsoever. They are from my account to my account,” Rama said.
