PDK proposes Eliza Hoxha as rival candidate for president

The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, said that political issues and the process of establishing institutions should have been handled more seriously.

He announced that the PDK would take part in the Assembly session, where the law on the Specialist Chambers is expected to be put to a vote, so that the matter can be brought to a conclusion.

“For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, from this point we will go to the Assembly chamber and expect to vote on the law on the Specialist Chambers and conclude this matter,” Hamza said.

Regarding the election of the president, the PDK leader said that Besa Shiroka-Pula was an acceptable candidate for the post.

However, in order to enable the procedures to proceed and the conditions for the election of the president to be met, the PDK will also put forward MP Eliza Hoxha as a rival candidate.

“For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, she is an acceptable candidate for president. In addition, with the aim of allowing the procedures to proceed and the conditions to be met, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is also proposing Ms. Eliza Hoxha as a rival candidate,” he said.

Hamza added that the PDK would be present in the Assembly and expected lawmakers from other parties to attend so that the procedures could continue.
