Pacolli on arrests in Zubin Potok: Those responsible will face justice, with no time limit

Minister of Environment, Fitore Pacolli, commented on the detention of nine people in Zubin Potok, who are suspected of war crimes against civilians during the war in Kosovo.

According to her, the time that has passed does not limit the pursuit of justice for the victims and their families, while the suspects must answer before the law.

Pacolli said that, under Kurti’s governance, Kosovo’s institutions have extended their authority in the north. She emphasized that the police are acting and that crime is being fought.

In her post, Pacolli wrote that the news of the arrest of nine people suspected of war crimes against the civilian population was good news. She stressed that crimes are not forgotten and that those responsible must face the law, wherever they are and no matter how much time has passed.

According to her, only after Vetëvendosje came to power did the state of Kosovo manage to establish law enforcement even in areas where, for years, criminals believed they could not be touched.

Pacolli said that the north had been treated for a long time as a zone where the law of the Republic of Kosovo was not enforced. She claimed that criminals were operating, institutions were silent, and previous governments tolerated a situation that damaged the state.

“With the Kurti Government this changed,” she declared, adding that Kosovo’s institutions now have authority in the north, the police are acting, and individuals who thought they could escape justice are now facing the law.

Pacolli concluded her post with the message: “Sovereignty, order and law. In every corner of the Republic of Kosovo.”
