Gent Strazimiri, Flamur Noka, Gazment Bardhi, Sali Berisha, Saimir Korreshi, and several other MPs have already entered the parliament chamber.

They avoided the front entrance of the Parliament building, passing through the side of a shopping center located in that area.

In accordance with the order of the Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi, the session will open with the approval of the minutes of July 16 and the relevant announcements.

One of the main items on the agenda is the presentation of the National Council of European Integration Report for the year 2025.

The report will be presented by the co-chairs of this council, in implementation of the law regulating the function of Parliament in the framework of Albania’s negotiations and accession process to the European Union.

Additionally, MPs will examine the draft law “On European Cooperative Societies (ECS),” which aims to align the domestic legal framework with European Union standards in the field of cross-border and economic cooperation.

Afterwards, parliament is expected to discuss and approve eight draft resolutions evaluating the activity of independent institutions and justice bodies for the year 2025.

Specifically, the reports and draft resolutions for the Ombudsman, the High Judicial Council, the High Prosecutorial Council, the Supreme State Audit, the General Prosecution, the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), and the High Justice Inspector will go through the filter.

For each of these items, the reports are expected to be presented by the heads of these bodies, while the Committee for Civic Initiatives, Cooperation, and Institutional Oversight will present the draft resolutions. There will also be room for parliamentary debate, if requested based on the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure.

The plenary session will close with MPs’ discussions on topics not included in the agenda, referring to the provisions of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure.
