Noka: SPAK must investigate Rama as the head of a criminal organization; individual responsibility is not enough

Following the latest developments involving current and former heads of the country’s key security institutions, Democratic Party Secretary-General Flamur Noka placed political responsibility on Prime Minister Edi Rama.

During the program “The First Minute,” Noka focused on the searches carried out by SPAK at the home of former Director-General of the State Police Ilir Proda, as well as the house arrest and suspension from duty of SHISH Director Vlora Hyseni.

According to him, the fact that the heads of important institutions have become the subject of investigations cannot be viewed solely as individual responsibility.

He described the government as corrupt and stressed that responsibility must also extend to those who appointed these officials.

Citing the cases of Ilir Proda and Vlora Hyseni as examples, Noka underscored that they did not assume their leadership positions on their own. Speaking about the prime minister’s next steps following the scandal, he said he was convinced that Rama would try to get through the situation without assuming political responsibility, using the same communication strategy as in previous cases.

“If there were justice, from Rama down to a sector head, they would all be inside. They are all corrupt to the core. How can a prime minister remain in office when he is deeply involved in every scandal? Proda did not appoint himself, nor did Hyseni, even though she was suspected of espionage in Kosovo. When you appoint them despite having been warned, responsibility is no longer individual, but political and that of the team. I am certain that Rama will do what he has planned. He will believe that the biggest sensation lasts three days, he will get past it with a joke and that will be it. The state has fallen; justice may be functioning in some places, but the state is dead. The emergence of Proda, Agasi and Hyseni shows that the state is a criminal organization. For this, SPAK should indict them; there is no individual responsibility. I am very skeptical about SPAK’s investigations, but if there were justice, they would go to the head of the organization, Rama,” he said.
