Nine arrested in several cities, police seize drugs

North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry said that during the previous evening, on 06/07.07.2026, at various locations in Skopje, officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector arrested N.Ç. (32), Z.T. (26), D.M. (22), B.E. (20) and E.Š. (30), all from Skopje, after a white powdery substance, a solid substance and marijuana were found on them and confiscated.

According to the statement, on 07.07.2026 at 00:30 in the village of Leunovë, police officers from the Gostivar Police Department deprived A.L. (27) from the village of Shipkovicë, Tetovo region, of his liberty after a white powdery substance was found during a search.

Also, on 06.07.2026 at 15:20, on “Aleksandar Makedonski” Street in Prilep, police from the Prilep Public Security Bureau arrested A.P. (41) and N.N. (25), both from Prilep. During a search of the passenger vehicle, a “Seat” with Prilep license plates, driven by A.P. and in which N.N. was a passenger, marijuana was found.

In another case, on 06.07.2026 at 18:00 in Prilep, near the artificial lake, police officers from the Internal Affairs Sector in Prilep arrested M.C. (31) from Prilep because marijuana was discovered during a search, the Interior Ministry said.

The Interior Ministry added that, after the cases are fully clarified and documented, the relevant reports will be filed.
