Nikolloski and Varns reaffirm economic cooperation and progress on capital projects between North Macedonia and the US

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikolloski held a working meeting today with Nicole Varns, acting US ambassador to Macedonia.

The talks focused on the economic partnership between the two countries, as well as US support for reform processes in Macedonia. During the meeting, the two sides assessed economic relations as being at a high level, while trade continues to show a positive trend.

Nikolloski emphasized that the Government’s development policies are aimed at stimulating economic growth through the implementation of capital projects that facilitate regional connectivity and integration.

According to him, construction work on the highways along Corridors 8 and 10-d is progressing at an excellent pace and in accordance with the established deadlines.

Both officials welcomed the strategic partnership between Macedonia and the US, describing it as a guarantee of stability for the country and the region.

They concluded that bilateral relations between Macedonia and the US are excellent and that there is a strong commitment to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
