Newborn abandoned in a bag in Italy, a dog walker saves his life

A shocking event has shaken the town of Cinisello Balsamo, on the outskirts of Milan, on the afternoon of October 12. A newborn baby was found abandoned inside a bag, left at the intersection of Monte Ortigara and Pasubio streets.

It was a woman who was in the area to walk her dog who made the discovery. The boy still had the placenta attached and was wrapped in a piece of cloth.

Hearing noises and faint cries, she approached the bag hidden among the trees and was astonished to see that there was a baby inside. Without wasting time, she alerted the emergency services.

According to Italian media, the report came in around 4:15 PM, and medical teams from the 118 emergency service were immediately dispatched to the scene along with police forces.

The newborn was urgently transported in serious condition to the Niguarda hospital in Milan, where he is receiving special care. Local sources mention that his health condition remains very fragile.

The “MilanoToday” portal reports that the birth apparently occurred approximately two hours before the baby was discovered. Officers from the Cinisello Balsamo police station intervened in the area, cordoned off the site, and the investigation process began.

Also involved in the investigation is the Milan Police Investigation Unit, which is trying to clarify the dynamics of the event and determine the identity of the person responsible for the abandonment.

At the moment, the full details of the case have not been made known, while investigations continue to shed light on the matter.
