Saranda Imeri Stafai, an MP from the VLEN coalition, has announced that tougher measures are being proposed for the use of electric scooters, with the aim of increasing road safety and reducing the number of accidents.
According to her, the new law foresees a maximum speed limit of 20 kilometers per hour, allowing electric scooters to be ridden only from the age of 18, as well as imposing harsher penalties for irresponsible users.

Imeri Stafai stressed that in the last two years, dozens of people have lost their lives and hundreds of others have been seriously injured in traffic accidents, which according to her makes it essential to strengthen safety measures.
“The goal is not punishment, but the protection of lives, especially those of young people. More order on the roads means fewer accidents and a safer future for all participants in traffic,” the VLEN MP declared. /INA/
