NAMES/ Shooting Incident from Several Days Ago Solved, 10 People Involved Identified

Tirana Police have solved the shooting incident that occurred around midnight on August 11 on “Gjolekë Kokona” Street. Ten people have been identified as being involved.

Four of them have been arrested, four are being prosecuted while remaining at liberty, and two others have been declared wanted. Those arrested are Rezar Zaimi, Kevin Kocibellinj, Stiven Fezollari and Rolf Fezollari, while Frenki Fezollari and Cercis Brahimllari have been declared wanted.

According to police, the altercation began after 34-year-old Rolf Fezollari insulted a 17-year-old who is being prosecuted while remaining at liberty. The 17-year-old and his friends then became involved in a physical confrontation with Rolf Fezollari, his brother Stiven Fezollari and others.

The situation escalated further when the 17-year-old and his friends left and then rode motorcycles to the area near the two brothers’ home.

It was there, according to the investigation, that another brother, 32-year-old Frenki Fezollari, fired a gun toward the motorcycles, but fortunately no one was injured.

Stiven Fezollari was arrested for actions obstructing the discovery of the truth, while Rezar Zaimi is accused of aiding the perpetrator, failure to report a crime and the unauthorized possession of bladed weapons.

Kevin Kocibellinj was arrested for actions obstructing the discovery of the truth and aiding the perpetrator of the crime.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Cercis Brahimllari has been declared wanted for failure to report a crime and aiding the perpetrator.

Police statement:

The operation codenamed “Situation” has been completed.

The involvement of several individuals and the circumstances of the conflict that occurred around midnight on August 11 on “Gjolekë Kokona” Street, where a firearm was discharged, have been uncovered.

The 10 individuals involved have been identified. Four of them have been arrested, four are facing criminal proceedings and two have been declared wanted.

One bladed weapon, a knife, and other items that will assist the investigation were seized at the scene.

Immediately after receiving a report that several individuals were involved in a conflict on “Gjolekë Kokona” Street, officers from Police Station No. 4 went to the scene to identify those involved in the conflict, determine their respective responsibility and establish the circumstances of the incident.

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out as part of the operation codenamed “Situation”:

– R. Z., 28, was arrested for the criminal offenses of “Aiding the perpetrator,” “Failure to report a crime” and “Unauthorized manufacture, possession, purchase or sale of bladed weapons”; K. K., 31, was arrested for the criminal offenses of “Actions obstructing the discovery of the truth” and “Aiding the perpetrator of the crime”; while S. F., 24, and R. F., 34, were arrested for the criminal offense of “Actions obstructing the discovery of the truth”;

– Four other individuals involved in the conflict are being prosecuted while remaining at liberty for the criminal offense of “Failure to report a crime”;

– F. F., 32, was declared wanted for the criminal offenses of attempted “Intentional murder” and “Unauthorized possession and manufacture of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition,” while C. B., 32, was declared wanted for the criminal offenses of “Failure to report a crime” and “Aiding the perpetrator of the crime.”

Investigative actions conducted so far have raised suspicions that the arrested individual R. F. insulted a minor who is being prosecuted while remaining at liberty. As a result, the 17-year-old and his friends became involved in a physical confrontation with R. F., his brother S. F. and their friends. The minor and his friends then rode motorcycles to the brothers’ home, where another of their brothers, F. F., who has been declared wanted, is suspected of firing a gun toward the motorcycles without injuring anyone.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the two wanted individuals and to document the circumstances of the case with legal evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
