Names of deputy ministers of culture and social policy expected to be announced within two weeks

Two and a half months after the government reshuffle, in which a total of eight ministers were replaced, the appointments of new deputy ministers and heads of institutions have still not been completed. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski reiterated that the procedure would be finalized soon, just as he had stated a month earlier.

According to him, the names and positions have been broadly determined, but they still need the coalition’s approval. Mickoski said this is expected to happen within one or two weeks.

Following the latest cabinet changes, the positions of deputy minister of culture and deputy minister of social policy remained vacant after Sedat Sulejmani and Gjoko Vellkovski were appointed ministers. At the same time, changes have also been announced at the level of directors and deputy directors.

So far, however, no specific candidate has been made public. Representatives of the VLEN party say that the reorganization process will continue at the second level as well.

VLEN explains that positions arising from the coalition agreement are being reviewed and that, where deemed necessary, proposals will be submitted to replace directors and deputy directors. According to the party, the names have not yet been formalized.

The first changes in the government were approved by parliament on July 13. The following were appointed to ministerial posts: Jeton Shasivari as minister of justice, Agon Ferati as minister of inter-community relations, Borçe Serafimovski as minister of agriculture, Sasho Klekovski as minister of health, Gjoko Vellkovski as minister of social policy, Ivan Stoillkoviq as minister of local self-government, Sedat Sulejmani as minister of culture, and Erxhan Demir as minister without portfolio./Alsat/
