Mystery of Triple Killing at Montenegro Shooting Range: 30-Year-Old Russian Killed Employees and Took His Own Life After Police Surrounded Him

Montenegro was shaken by a bloody incident on Monday, when a 30-year-old Russian citizen allegedly forced his way into a shooting range in Danilovgrad and shot dead three employees.

The victims were Nemanja Kapor, 20, Petar Globarević, 24, and Momir Radonić, 67. All three worked at the “Češka Zbrojevka” shooting range in Danilovgrad.

Information released so far indicates that the suspect regularly visited the shooting range and was familiar with the premises. While there, he opened fire on the three employees for reasons that have yet to be established.

After the killings, the 30-year-old allegedly took weapons and ammunition from the shooting range. He then fled in a Seat Cordoba that, according to preliminary information, belonged to one of the victims.

His escape immediately prompted Montenegrin authorities to launch a large-scale operation to identify and arrest the suspect. Police considered him armed and particularly dangerous as they worked to determine his escape route.

The stolen vehicle was later found. During the search, investigators located the 30-year-old in a wooded area above the Topla neighborhood in Herceg Novi, about 120 kilometers from the scene of the attack.

The situation escalated after police found and surrounded him. Based on preliminary information, the Russian citizen allegedly fired at officers and then took his own life.

No police officers were reported injured in the confrontation.

Although the perpetrator was identified and the search operation concluded, the motive for the triple killing remains a mystery. Authorities are analyzing evidence collected at the scene and reviewing the 30-year-old’s movements before and after the attack.

One of the circumstances under investigation is that he had allegedly also visited the shooting range in the preceding days, where he carried out test firing.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether the perpetrator had previously been involved in a conflict with the victims, whether there was any personal relationship between them, or whether the crime had been planned in advance.

The investigation is also expected to examine how the 30-year-old obtained the weapons and ammunition, as well as the route he took after leaving Danilovgrad.

The incident has caused profound shock in Montenegro. Authorities have declared two days of national mourning in memory of the three victims.

Police and investigators are continuing their work to reconstruct, minute by minute, the sequence of events inside the shooting range and determine the motive for the attack.

The killing of the three employees, followed by the perpetrator’s suicide, has left many questions unanswered, while the investigation is expected to reveal further details about the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
