Musliu: The PDK will not accept Kurti’s instructions on its candidate for deputy speaker of parliament

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Ganimete Musliu has reacted to acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti shortly before the continuation of the constitutive session of parliament.

In a statement, Musliu stressed that the PDK would not allow anyone to determine which official it should nominate for the post of deputy speaker of parliament.

“Albin Kurti has no (…) right to dictate whom the PDK nominates as deputy speaker of parliament. The PDK will never become a political crutch, neither for Albin nor for anyone else,” she wrote.

The continuation of the session is expected to proceed with the election of parliament’s deputy speakers on the agenda, while Vlora Çitaku is the name proposed by the PDK.
