PDK leadership meets over September 12 march and political developments

The leadership of the Democratic Party of Kosovo held a meeting attended by mayors of municipalities governed by the party, as well as other members.

According to KosovaPress sources, the meeting was related to the organization of the September 12 march, which will be held before the verdict in the case of the four KLA members in The Hague. The PDK has announced that the protest will be held.

Meanwhile, PDK MP Ganimete Musliu said that there were no new developments in the agreement between LVV and LDK regarding the candidate for president of Kosovo.

Musliu said that Bekim Sejdiu’s nomination had been expected and was already known.

“As I saw yesterday and the day before yesterday, there is nothing new. It was already known,” Musliu said briefly.

LVV and LDK agreed on August 31 that Bekim Sejdiu would be the candidate for president of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the Assembly of Kosovo has still not been constituted. In the two attempts so far, the speaker of the Assembly has not been elected and the process of constituting the 11th Legislature has not been completed.

The constitutive session continues to be a source of clashes between the parliamentary parties, while the inability to establish the institutions is prolonging the political crisis in the country. Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has asked for time to reach a political agreement that would pave the way for the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of new institutions. On the other hand, the PDK and the Alliance have continued their political actions, demanding that the constitutive session be held.
