Musa underscores the importance of Spanish support for North Macedonia’s European journey

The MP from the VLEN coalition and member of the Committee on European Affairs in Parliament, Mimoza Musa, met with Fernando Mariano Sampedro Markos, State Secretary for the European Union of the Kingdom of Spain.

Musa announced that the focus of the conversation was the country’s European future, the dynamics of EU enlargement, and the need to seize the favorable moment to advance the integration process.

“In my capacity as MP and member of the Committee on European Affairs, I had a meeting today with Fernando Mariano Sampedro Markos, State Secretary for the European Union of the Kingdom of Spain,” she wrote.

She highly appreciated Spain’s unwavering support for North Macedonia’s European perspective, emphasizing that Spain, as a heavyweight EU member state, plays a key role in accelerating the integration journey.

“I consider Spain’s continued support for our European perspective of particular importance. As an influential member state of the European Union, Spain is in a position to play a crucial role in advancing our path toward full membership in the European family,” she stated.

According to the MP, EU enlargement is a process of mutual benefits, and the continent’s future rests on a more united, stronger Europe founded on shared values.

This meeting, as Musa made known, served as an opportunity to deepen dialogue and cooperation between North Macedonia and Spain, through sharing experiences and successful practices.
