Murder of 20-Year-Old in Korçë, Residents: We Heard a Noise and Went Outside to See What Had Happened

Following the murder of 20-year-old Johan Zuko, residents of Neighborhood No. 14 in Korçë have described what they heard and saw in the immediate aftermath of the incident. They said they knew neither the victim nor the suspected perpetrator, as neither of them lived in the area.

Residents said they initially heard a loud noise but did not understand what it was. Only after going outside did they learn that a murder had taken place. They described the neighborhood as quiet and said nothing like this had ever happened there before.

“We don’t know them; they are not residents of this neighborhood. We heard a loud noise and went outside, and then we realized what had happened,” they said, adding that they now feel afraid.

Police are continuing their operation to arrest the suspected perpetrator, who was identified after the crime. Meanwhile, checkpoints have been set up in various areas, while the investigative team is obtaining and analyzing security camera footage to establish the movements of the victim and the perpetrator before the murder.
