Movement ban in Macedonia’s forests takes effect until August 31

From today until August 31, a full ban on movement in forests and forest land is in force, a measure imposed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy.

The authorities are calling on farmers and livestock breeders to exercise increased caution, while violators of this ban will face substantial fines, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 euros in denar equivalent.

While this measure remains in force, entry and movement in forests will be permitted only with written authorization issued by the branches of “National Forests,” or by the national parks, each for the territory it administers./Telegrafi/
