A joint force of around 460 people from various units has been deployed in the field to fight the flames and manage the fire situation.

The mission includes around 300 firefighters equipped with motorized vehicles and deployed from the MZSH units in Fier, Tirana, Tepelena, Himara, Vlora, Finiq, Delvina, Saranda, Gjirokaster and Dropull.
Police forces, municipal employees, medical emergency teams and members of the Volunteer Center for Civil Emergencies are also taking part in the operation.
To support this structure, 160 military personnel have also been deployed and are contributing to keeping the flames under control.
Teams in the field are continuing their work without interruption to isolate the fire hotspots and prevent the blaze from advancing toward populated areas.
