Amid political tensions marked by protests and clashes between citizens and institutions, Justice Minister Toni Gogu has delivered a message against violence and in support of dialogue.
In a social media post, he stressed that institutions can be criticized and held accountable, but should not be physically attacked. “Institutions should not be attacked, but challenged through arguments and dialogue!” Gogu wrote, emphasizing the importance of communication as a way to address grievances and find solutions.

He said violence is not the way to bring about change, while citizens have the right to challenge decisions, criticize institutions and hold their representatives accountable.
The minister also shared a video of Leopoldo Lelo de Larrea, program chair at the World Congress of Lawyers and Law, who said he had been closely following the protests in Tirana and added that dialogue was the right path to prevent further violence.
