Mihali: Seven days remain to elect a president, after which there could be elections

Dejona Mihali, a representative of the Vetëvendosje Movement, said the deadline for electing the president of Kosovo expires in seven days.

According to her, if parliament fails to elect a president, Kosovo could face new elections in early or mid-November.

Mihali also criticized the Constitutional Court for delaying the publication of its ruling, stressing that for now, it is unclear what the next steps will be.

In her response, she also questioned the seriousness of the decision-making, both regarding the substance of the decision and the delay in issuing the ruling.

Mihali also criticized those who referred the matter to the Constitutional Court, the MPs who do not want to vote for a president, and those who go to parliament, take photos and create the impression that they are ready to begin work.

In her post, she wrote that only seven days remain before the deadline to elect a president and that, if parliament fails, elections could be held in early or mid-November.

She stressed that the Constitutional Court has yet to issue its ruling and that no one knows what will happen next.
