Mickoski on Fuel Price Hikes: We Are Monitoring the Situation and Will Intervene if Necessary

Following the significant increase in fuel prices in recent days, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski commented today on developments in the fuel market.

Mickoski said the authorities were monitoring the situation and would take measures if necessary.

“We are monitoring developments concerning oil. When it comes to petrol and diesel, we remain the country with the lowest prices in the region. If necessary, we will respond in the same way we have so far, so citizens should remain calm. We will continue to be the country with the lowest petrol and diesel prices, although this is an exchange-traded commodity and not something that depends on whether a businessman or politician is better or worse. We all obtain our supplies from the same place,” Mickoski said.
