Mickoski: Foreign investments reached around 1.4 billion euros during two and a half years of government

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said that foreign direct investment during the approximately two and a half years his government has been in office amounted to around 1.4 billion euros.

According to him, these results should be measured against the record of the previous government. Mickoski emphasized that during the first two years of that government, when the country was not facing a crisis and was functioning normally, foreign investments amounted to around 750 million euros.

Referring to the 24 and a half months since the current government was elected, the prime minister said that the overall level of foreign investment stood at around 1.4 billion euros. He added that, despite claims that comparisons with the past cannot be made, his government should be assessed against the previous government, which it defeated in the elections after presenting a new concept and receiving the support of the citizens.

Mickoski said that a comparison between the first two years of the current government and the corresponding period of the previous government shows a considerable difference: around 1.4 billion euros in foreign investment under his government, compared with approximately 750 million euros recorded by the previous government. “The figures are clear, the difference is significant,” Mickoski said.
