Emmanuel Macron has leveled strong accusations against Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that the US president and the Israeli prime minister are turning the troubled situation in France into an instrument for their election campaigns. The French president also denounced the circulation of images generated by artificial intelligence, which, he said, present a false picture of events in the country.
At a press conference held on Wednesday, October 21, in Doha, Qatar, Macron drew a distinction between foreign interference and information manipulation. He explained that the recent incidents had not involved direct intervention from abroad, but said that an organized disinformation campaign had also fueled false statements by international leaders.

According to the French head of state, the manipulation of information originating abroad has prompted many people, including foreign leaders, to make unacceptable and ill-considered comments.
Macron said that some politicians were seeking political gain through events in France by distributing content generated by artificial intelligence or lending credibility to unverified claims. He described these actions as a campaign being conducted behind France’s back and referred to leaders involved in electoral contests in the Middle East and the United States. When asked whether he had Donald Trump in mind, he confirmed that Trump was one of them.
The French president specifically rejected claims that France was being invaded by migrants and Islamists, calling them completely untrue. He insisted that images created with artificial intelligence were circulating on social media, showing scenes that had not taken place on French territory.
His response followed statements by Donald Trump at an election rally held on Monday in Kansas. There, the US president claimed that migrants, jihadists and communists were invading, looting and burning France.
Trump also linked the situation in France to political clashes in the United States. Attacking his opponents, he warned that the Democrats’ approach to immigration could lead to similar consequences.
On Tuesday, Benjamin Netanyahu also joined the debate, claiming that France had been subjected to an invasion by extremist Islam. The Israeli prime minister attributed the outbreak of unrest to the rise of Islamic extremism, adding his statements to the political controversy that has also involved other international leaders.
However, the reported text emphasizes that French authorities have not confirmed that migrants and Islamists played a decisive role in the recent incidents.
Macron’s claims about the use of artificial intelligence were also challenged by Marine Le Pen. She accused the French president of relying on conspiracy theories to portray the incidents as less serious than they were.
In a response on the platform X, Le Pen said that the images from the previous Saturday were not generated by artificial intelligence. According to her, they reflected the sad reality of France after ten years of Macron in power.
The controversy is unfolding as France faces social and political tensions and moves closer to the 2027 presidential election. The protests initially focused on demands concerning education and the rising cost of living, but were later accompanied by incidents and looting.
Through Macron’s confrontation with Trump, Netanyahu and Le Pen, the unrest in France has become a subject of international political debate. Each side’s interpretation of the events reflects its political positions and objectives.
