LSDM demands answers from Mickoski: Where did more than 5 million euros go?

LSDM has accused Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of lying about the cost of the independence celebration, emphasizing that his claim that it cost “0 denars” was also refuted yesterday by the government spokesperson during a press conference. According to the party, more than 5 million euros in public funds were used to organize the event, confirming what party leader Filipçe and LSDM had stated from the outset.

“It has once again been proven that Mickoski, the fraudster, lies every time he speaks. Now that it has been acknowledged that the cost was not ‘0 denars,’ but more than 5 million euros, he must publicly tell citizens where their money went,” LSDM said.

The party claims that more than 5 million euros was spent through the State Lottery, a company that is 100% state-owned, while it remains unknown what these funds were used for and where they went. LSDM is demanding the disclosure of which companies received millions of euros in public funds, the criteria used to select them, and how many millions of euros were allocated for commissions and percentages.

According to LSDM, this amounts to large-scale misappropriation of funds and a corrupt form of governance by Mickoski and his Organized Crime Group. The party alleges that citizens were told the celebration cost “0 denars,” while information is being concealed, manipulation is taking place, and millions of dollars have ended up in someone’s pockets.

“We demand that Mickoski publish all payments without delay so that citizens, who paid 5 million euros of their own money, can learn who received the funds, how much they benefited, and what the money was provided for,” LSDM said in its response.
