LSDM alleges: Mickoski admitted that Gostivar’s water had not been safe for two years

LSDM said today that Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, through his claims regarding the quality of the water in Gostivar, had confirmed that a criminal offense had been committed.

The party referred to a statement Mickoski made two days ago, when he said he believed that, for the first time in many years, citizens would be using water that was completely safe from a bacteriological standpoint.

According to LSDM, with this sentence the prime minister admitted that the water in Gostivar had not been bacteriologically safe for more than two years, a period during which OBRM-PDUKM held absolute power.

LSDM claims that the authorities had been aware of the situation for two years but remained silent while citizens consumed contaminated water. They stress that the water in Gostivar is still not entirely safe, as a new bacterium appeared following hyperchlorination, according to Hristijan Mickoski. Meanwhile, Minister Klekovski promised that the water’s safety would be guaranteed by the end of the week.
